Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager for a site in Peterborough, consisting of traditional new build houses. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for progression to Site Manager within 18 months due to a new site commencing.

Job Duties:

• Assist the Site Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations on the construction site
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
• Manage subcontractors and tradespeople
• Monitor progress and quality of work
• Assist in resolving any on-site issues or conflicts
• Coordinate with suppliers and ensure materials are delivered on time

Required Qualifications:

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
• First Aid certification
• NVQ Level 4 in Construction Management
• Full UK Driving License

Knowledge and Skills:

• Valid Driving Licence
• Experience in snagging and quality control
• Strong customer care skills
• Knowledge of NHBC (National House Building Council) standards
• Leadership and management skills

Working Conditions:

The role will involve working on a construction site, requiring outdoor work and regular interaction with subcontractors and other site personnel.
