Job description

Thorn Baker are looking for a confident and outgoing individual to join a well-established engineering company, the position is office based and will be helping with the behind-the-scenes day to day running of the workload.

Benefits of the role.

  • Full time position.
  • Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm with a 4.30pm finish on a Friday.
  • £11.50-£12.50 per hour depending on experience.
  • Free parking.
  • Good location – on a bus route.
  • Full support and training where needed.

The job.

  • General office duties – Answering calls, photocopying, replying to emails.
  • No customer facing, all internal communication.
  • Purchasing – booking in, logging, run reports.
  • Use of a manufacturing system – closing off, confirmation of jobs and finishes.
  • Ordering equipment – PPE

The candidate.

  • Well organised.
  • Confident and outgoing.
  • Not afraid to take initiative and ask questions.
  • Experience with purchasing.
  • Some knowledge of a manufacturing system desired – can be trained.
