Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are seeking an experienced and dedicated CNC Laser Operator to join our client.

As part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team, you will play a vital role in delivering innovative products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and run 2D/3D CNC laser machines to cut components from sheet metal and formed metal boxes.
• Handle materials like Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, and Aluminium.
• Load CNC programs and work with tools like deburring and inspection tools.
• Work from job cards, engineering drawings, and standard work instructions to ensure products meet required specifications.
• Use tools like Verniers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment to check your own work for accuracy and quality.
• Use hand tools to finish components as needed.
• Follow standards and support continuous improvement activities like reducing scrap and improving productivity
• Participate in safety audits, problem-solving, and help improve workplace organisation and efficiency
• Assist with any other tasks as required by the business

Skills & Experience:

• Experience operating CNC laser machines (2D/3D)
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and inspect your own work
• Experience with deburring and finishing metal components
• Knowledge of measuring tools
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
• Willingness to participate in safety and improvement initiatives
