Contracts Manager
Job description
Thorn Baker has teamed up with a Local Heritage and High End residential contractor working on bespoke Residential projects across the cotswolds. They are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team.
Working on a variety of projects from high end commercial spaces to bespoke one of a kind residential projects.

Your Responsibilities:
- To be responsible and accountable for the financial performance of each project under your control ensuring the business profitability and achieving value for money for our clients
- To Manage the delivery team, notable our Project and Site Managers
- To ensure that the Company and Client Health and Safety policies are followed and adhered to by any of the resources utilised in the delivery of the projects and workflows under your control.
- Ensure all work is planned, mobilised and delivered to a target programme, ensuring timely completion whilst maintaining the desired quality of work
- Establish a good client working relationship throughout the life of a project and deliver excellent customer service
- Manage labour and subcontract resources in close liaison with the Project Managers across multiple project sites to deliver the projects budget, to programme and to contract requirements
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation
- Attend client project progress meetings ensuring that all actions are completed on time and presenting updated reports that identify both programme and quality status
- Provide technical guidance to the team and answer any queries they may have
- Manage your staff through proactive measures such as periodic and documented 1-2-1’s that offer feedback and person development.
Required Skills:
- Lead your portfolio of projects and achieve the project goals set by both the client and the business
- Able to provide technical solutions to both design and delivery issues that may arise
- Demonstrate strong communicative skills both at a professional and technical level whilst able to offer a sensitive approach to the end users within the relevant sectors
- Commercial acumen and negotiation
- Have a sound knowledge of traditional forms of building contract together with Design and Build options and the ability to use the contract and its provisions to protect and maximise the position of Montrose.
- Well-read in current Construction industry thinking and trends.
- Have an understanding of both High-End Residential and Commercial Sectors together with the demand of its clients
- Current industry knowledge of: Build solutions, Legislative practice (technical & H&S), Industry trends/best practice
