Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for an a Development Engineer to work for an established POS/POP manufacturer based in Leicester

This position is a straight permanent position

The Job:

• Responsible for producing development solutions to support client designs
• Develop cost effective solutions to suit the most effective route to manufacture
• Conduct site surveys as and when required
• Collaborate with other departments, such as planning, workshop, protoype and pre-production to align development activities with sales forecasts, demand planning and budgety contraints 
• Salary is expected to be £45k but dependant on your experience
• 28 days holiday per year plus Christmas shut-down and a day off on your birthday

About You:

• Ideally, you will have previous experience in a POS or POP manufacturing business
• Able to use SolidWorks and MS Office software
• Ability to think laterally, create solutions to a given design brief
• Be pro-active, inquisitive and challenging
• Self motivated and able to manage projects from brief through to production
• Ability to multi task between multiple projects
• Capable of preparing drawings and planograms
• Sustainability to be front of mind when developing solutions
