Company Branding:

A leading housing developer is looking for an Estimator to join their established region. Offering up to £45,000 + package and an opportunity to progress within the business.

Job Duties:

The Assistant Estimator will be responsible for assisting the Estimating team in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for new build housing projects. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment
• Collaborating with the Estimating team to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates
• Reviewing project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work
• Communicating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and pricing
• Updating and maintaining the estimating database with current pricing information

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Driving Licence
• Experience with COINS estimating software
• Previous experience in new build housing projects

Education:

Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the house building industry.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work well in a team environment

Working Conditions:

The Estimator will primarily work in an office environment but may also visit construction sites as needed. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime required during busy periods.
