Job Title:Head of DfMA
Location:London
Thorn Baker has teamed up with an integrated design company providing architectural, structural, product, and production process design services, and project management, to deliver a better built environment with Modern Methods of Construction. And they have lots of fun too!
Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) is their approach to delivering higher performing buildings that are economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable, and elegantly made and as more projects are coming in, they are looking for a Head of DfMA to lead their team.

Your Responsibilities:
- Leading the design team and taking ownership of the successful and coordinated delivery of complex projects.
- Leading the creation and evolution of company standards and processes.
- Setting and monitoring day to day tasks for the team.
- Supporting the team to provide excellent design information that meets our client's expectations of quality, functionality, cost, and carbon.
Required Skills:
- Degree in architecture, engineering, ormanufacturing disciplines
- Developed experience (10 years +) in architectural, engineering, manufacturingor construction
- Proficient user of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD 2D & 3D, InDesign, Illustrator, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat
- Developed understanding of Building Regulations and British Standards and CDM Regulations
- Information accuracy and compliance
- Lead, motivate and encourage design teams
Key skills: Construction, design, management, structural, MMC, AutoCAD, Revit
