Starting Salary: £34k-£36k/annum (depending on skills & experience)

Thorn Baker Industrial are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer for one of our prestigious clients in Castle Donington.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with relevant experience.

Our client is looking for a talented & hands-on individual to join their friendly team.

Maintenance Engineer Job Details:

- General machinery maintenance/repair duties

- Completing planned maintenance schedules

- Responding to equipment/machinery breakdowns

- Planning workload to minimise disruption of production

- Keeping maintenance records up to date

- Fault finding, repairs and break-down prevention

- Servicing of tools

- Machinery/equipment inspection & improvement on a regular basis

- Some fabrication works (for tool maintenance)

- Keeping inventory stocked in case of breakdowns

- Buildings and other facilities maintenance

- Basic plumbing & electrical jobs

- Communicating with suppliers/contractors

- Regular improvement of maintenance processes

- Apprentice support

- General housekeeping whilst working

- Other general maintenance engineer duties within the candidate`s capability.

Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

- Relevant experience/education within Mechanical Engineering (NVQ/apprenticeship Level3 & above)

- Great fault finding & problem-solving skills

- In-depth engineering process knowledge

- Comfortable using a variety of tools

- Good planning/organizational skills

- Hands -on approach, ability to lead by example

- Proven technical capability

- Positive approach towards work

- Ability to work without supervision

- Team Player / Adaptable / Good work ethic

- Enthusiasm / Ambition / Eagerness for excellence

Maintenance Engineer Benefits:

- £34-36k starting salary (depending on skills & experience)

- Straight permanent contract

- Day shift only, Monday to Friday (5:30am starts)
