Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: East Midlands, Leicestershire, Leicester

Job Type: Permanent, expected to work full-time hours Monday to Friday

Primary Industry: Construction, New Build Housing, House Building

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

About the Company:

An established Housing Developer is expanding their team in the East Midlands due to new developments commencing!

Job Description:

If you have experience working as an Assistant QS or QS for a housing developer, then this could be the perfect opportunity. You will be overseeing 2 developments and reporting to the Commercial Manager.

Job Duties:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of cost management, quantity surveying, and financial control of the projects
• Prepare and submit monthly cost value reports and final accounts
• Assist in the preparation of tenders, contract documentation, and budget estimates
• Monitor and control variations and provide cost advice to the project team
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and provide recommendations

Required Qualifications:

• Quantity Surveying Qualification or Degree desired
• Full UK Driving Licence

Experience:

Prior experience as an Assistant QS or QS for a housing developer

Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience in new build housing projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Packages
• Knowledge of COINS software desired 

Working Conditions:

This role involves working on-site at construction projects in the East Midlands region. Regular travel between sites is required. The standard working hours are full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work based on project requirements.
