Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are supporting the council in their search for a Public Waste Collectors to join their team on a temporary, ongoing basis. This job involves working outdoors and being very active, you will need to be able to drive as you will be responsible for driving a Council vehicle to collect waste from multiple public destinations. 

The Job:

• Working independently and as a part of a team, loading and unloading waste and recycling bins onto a tipper
• Walking and lifting for up to 8 hours a day
• Ensuring bins are emptied in a safe and controlled manner
• Respecting the general public and being a positive representative for the council

About You:

• Looking for immediate work
• Can drive and be able to commute to the job location at 6am
• Looking for early starts and usually early finishes
• Great team player with a positive attitude
• Physically fit and happy to work in all weathers

The Pay:

£12.88 with annual increases in line with length of service 

Overtime paid at a premium!
