Senior Group Internal Auditor (Construction)
Location: Remote / Hybrid working (Anywhere in England)

Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular reviews of the Group's construction policies and procedural framework, making recommendations as needed to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and emerging best practises.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Group Construction department and Independent Quality Controllers (IQCs) to understand the Group's construction practises and their operational implementation.
- Create an annual risk-based construction audit plan to provide assurance on:
- The effectiveness and consistency of the IQC inspection regime.
- The appropriateness of the construction quality culture within each operating company.
- Other areas of focus as defined by key stakeholders, including the Board and the Group Construction department.
- Execute the annual construction audit plan using a combination of desktop data reviews, structured interviews (remote and in person), and site inspections.
- Produce detailed management reports and information on the construction audit plan for inclusion in the Director of Internal Audit's overall reporting to the Audit & Risk Committee.
- Assist the Director of Internal Audit in handling whistleblowing investigations related to construction activities.
- Support the Director of Internal Audit in delivering any other audits or investigations related to construction.
- Provide advice, information, and training on audit findings as needed.
Required Skills:
- Previous experience in an audit or assurance-based role within the construction sector
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively, meet targets and deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
