Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment have a fantastic temporary to permanent opportunity for a Warehouse Operative / Relief Delivery Driver! 

Working primarily as a production operative in a warehouse environment for a refurbishment company, you will also be called upon as a relief delivery driver when needed.

When in the warehouse, your duties will include: 

• Scraping labels off products ready for shot blasting
• Filling and pressure testing products
• Painting products
• Testing and re-packing products
• Organising products for dispatch
• Loading and unloading products weighing anything up to 15kg

When required to carry out relief delivery driving, your day will look like:

• Driving a transit van, following delivery schedule to multi-drop locations across the UK including central London
• Dealing with customers on a face-to-face basis 
• Loading and unloading products weighing anything up to 15kg
• Your pay rate for hours worked as the relief driver is paid at a premium of £13.20 per hour

The ideal candidate:

• You will carry a clean UK driving license with no more than 3 points. 
• You will need to have previous van driving experience
• You will be friendly, polite and well-presented when dealing with customers face to face.
• Have a keen eye for detail when working in the warehouse

Hours and pay:

• 6am-2:30pm Monday – Friday (warehouse)
• Hours and routes to be agreed with yourself & site manager when delivery driving
• £11.44 per hour pay in warehouse
• £13.20 per hour pay when delivery driving
